What you'd actually do

  1. Enabling business partners and Sourcing in the drafting, reviewing, negotiation, and finalization of agreements.
  2. Run privacy reviews for new products, custodians, and services to identify potential data privacy risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  3. Managing projects for various legal practice areas, including Privacy, Real Estate, Network & Technology, among others.
  4. Assessing current or future Legal Department needs and priorities by communicating directly with internal/external legal professionals and other key stakeholders.
  5. Using readily available as well as emerging legal and project management technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Skills

Required

  • Knowledge of policies, standards, and processes for managing and administering contracts, with the ability to use applicable processes and practices for managing a variety of contractual agreements.
  • Good understanding of Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) methodologies and the ability to evaluate data flows and risk profiles.
  • Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization’s exposure to risks of various kinds, with the ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience, including at least four or more years of relevant Legal work experience. ((Privacy, Compliance, or Commercial Contracts)
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Good understanding of contract and other related laws.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, ability to manage adversarial negotiations and high pressure situations, while at the always being professional and respectful.
  • Ability to balance business and contract goals against legal, business, policy and reputational risks and make sound decisions to take appropriate risks.
  • Excellent communication and advanced executive presentation skills in person and virtually.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to understand and manage complex and time-sensitive processes, and work with online tools, without constant supervision or hand holding.
