This role focuses on retention and churn mitigation within Verizon Business Group using data-driven strategies. It involves deep dive analyses, creating recommendations, and providing strategic analytical support to marketing teams. The role requires developing executive-level presentations and acting as a liaison with other teams like Business Intelligence and Finance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Developing and managing recurring analyses, insights, and unique data visualizations to improve retention and mitigate churn
  2. Analyzing base performance and trends by distilling complex data sets into concise and actionable data insights. This work will be used to further refine marketing campaign strategies to improve retention and mitigate churn. Ability to package fact-based recommendations clearly and “tell a story” with data to leadership is critical for success in this role.
  3. Tracking and analyzing the performance of select customer segments and sub-segments, as well as select retention initiatives, while tying performance to overall base trends
  4. Serving as a subject matter expert for proactive, recurring, and nuanced insight generation to help dictate the conversation around churn & provide strategic guidance to stakeholders and leadership across Verizon Business Group
  5. Acting as a conduit to cross-functional teams, including Business intelligence, Device & Pricing, Finance, and Business Markets to align on goals and strategies

Skills

Required

  • Four to six years of relevant marketing experience required.
  • Experience with marketing analytics and driving actionable insights.
  • Experience with data visualization and communicating strategies and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, CRM software, or data visualization platforms like Tableau

Nice to have

  • Telecom or subscriber services experience.
  • Experience marketing to Business Markets customers
  • Experience with or knowledge of Business sales
  • Experience analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights.
  • Understanding of direct marketing and Sales best practices across key tactics (Email, Direct Mail, SMS, Digital, Outbound, etc).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
