Specialist Solution Engineer - Marketing Cloud

Salesforce is seeking a Specialist Solution Engineer for their Marketing Cloud team in Italy. This role focuses on helping small and medium businesses transform their marketing through data-driven, personalized experiences powered by Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud. The engineer will act as a trusted advisor, translating business challenges into scalable digital marketing solutions and helping customers adopt innovative strategies for growth. Responsibilities include customer discovery, solution design, delivering engaging demonstrations, providing strategic guidance on marketing maturity roadmaps, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires 3+ years in Solution Engineering, Digital Marketing, or Pre-Sales, with a preference for experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar MarTech platforms, and understanding of Marketing Automation, CDP, APIs, and integrations. Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understand customers’ business models and marketing challenges. Identify opportunities where Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud can deliver measurable value and growth.
  2. Collaborate with Account Executives and partners to create end-to-end solutions, including how Salesforce Data Cloud can unify and activate customer data for personalized engagement.
  3. Build and deliver impactful demos that bring Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud to life. Use storytelling to illustrate how customers can simplify their marketing operations and scale intelligently.
  4. Support customers in defining their marketing maturity roadmap, connecting marketing automation, data, and customer experience into a cohesive strategy that drives results.
  5. Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Professional Services, Partners) and help scale knowledge across the region through enablement and thought leadership initiatives.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years in Solution Engineering, Digital Marketing, or Pre-Sales roles
  • Understanding of Marketing Automation, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), APIs, and integrations
  • Ability to translate marketing challenges into actionable solutions
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, capable of engaging audiences from marketing managers to C-level executives
  • Advanced level of English
