Specialty Sales Team Leader at Target, responsible for leading a team of consultants in various retail departments (Apparel, Home, Electronics, etc.). The role focuses on guest experience, sales goals, merchandising, and team development, including hiring, coaching, and performance management. It involves managing daily workload, executing sales plans, and ensuring operational best practices, safety, and compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience. Model, train and coach team member expectations to deliver on our GUEST service model culture.
  2. Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences.
  3. Plan daily/weekly workload at the direction of your direct leader, and execute the same to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement; including planning merchandising sets, make changes and updates to merchandise sets (planograms), sales plans, events and promotions.
  4. Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
  5. With direct leader guidance, develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate.
