Sr Account Manager

This is a strategic sales position focused on managing key accounts within the Defence sector. The role requires in-depth knowledge of technology's role in business goals, strategic planning, and tactical execution. Responsibilities include managing all facets of relationships with large key accounts, ensuring revenue goals are met, developing opportunities across the F5 portfolio, and partnering with System Integrators and Service Providers. It is an individual contributor, quota-carrying role.

What you'd actually do

  1. The role will be focused on major accounts within the Defence sector (Government & Defence Contractors / Manufacturers)
  2. You will be primary point-of-contact for these major accounts regardless of account’s geographic location. Maintaining contact with account at a high, executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship.
  3. Sells the organization’s products or services to and maintains relationships with existing accounts. Responsible for expanding and retaining named accounts while ensuring ongoing customer service.
  4. Responsible for identifying and qualifying long-term and short-term business opportunities and pro-actively identifying and addressing competitive threats
  5. Prepares formal proposals and presentations, presents to all levels of the organization including executives, leads negotiations, coordinates complex decision making processes and overcomes objectives to closure, and closes sales in a professional and effective manner
