What you'd actually do

  1. Lead design and review of secure software architectures for cloud, edge, and on-prem platforms built in C#, .NET, Python, and modern microservice frameworks
  2. Research advanced and emerging technologies like 5G, AI/ML and Quantum and collaborate with other architects on new cybersecurity initiatives.
  3. Ensure security best practices are integrated into modern system architectures, including containerized and microservice-based environments.
  4. Analyze emerging cybersecurity threats and translate threat intelligence into actionable guidance for engineering teams.
  5. Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in software development in cybersecurity, security architecture, or a related technical domain.
  • Comfort writing code (e.g., React, C#, .NET, Python) to validate security architectures, threat models, and design decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or influencing technical projects.
  • Strong understanding of containerized and microservice-based architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and security fundamentals.
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or another related field
  • Experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud security services (IAM, KMS, VPC, WAF, container security, etc.).
  • Experience in coding AI/ML pipelines or cloud-hosted models.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
