Sr. Analyst, Finance Business Process Management

This role supports changes to accounting and finance processes and systems for Comcast Business Finance, focusing on design activities for sales, order, and billing platforms. It involves gathering business requirements, providing subject matter expertise in accounting and finance, and supporting multiple projects. The analyst will prepare financial reports, conduct ad-hoc analysis, extract and query data using SQL, manage revenue coding, capture requirements for various financial processes, and ensure compliance with SOX program standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the Sr. Manager, Business Process Management on major business process transformation projects and system developments, driving change in a quickly evolving business unit.
  2. Responsible for preparing Revenue and Accounts Receivable (AR) reporting, ensuring accurate and timely completion
  3. Conduct ad-hoc revenue analysis to support business decisions, identify trends and deliver actionable insights to Finance leadership.
  4. Utilize SQL to extract, query and summarize large datasets, transforming data into meaningful conclusions that support revenue, accounting and operational analysis.
  5. Manage and maintain the revenue coding and mapping file for both new and existing products, ensuring consistent and accurate revenue attribution across systems and reporting.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Information Systems
  • Minimum of 2 years progressively increasing responsibilities
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in an audit, accounting or business controls environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in analyzing data in support of issue identification and resolution.
  • Excellent written and oral communications and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite.

Nice to have

  • CPA preferred
  • Public or private accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with large-scale system developments or business process transformations preferred.
  • SQL experience desired
