This role is for a Sr Analyst II, Information Workplace Service at RTX, focusing on the administration and sustainment of DoD Mission network servers and workstations. Responsibilities include managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, ACAS and Nessus servers, and VMware ESXi servers, completing STIG checklists, configuring systems according to security standards, providing software patching, and remediating security findings. The role requires an active Top Secret security clearance and experience with system administration and security hardening tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Administer all ROTHR Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and workstations, ACAS and Nessus servers, and VMware ESXi servers
  2. Complete STIG checklists for: Servers (DC & MS), OS DNS, Active Directory Forest/Domain, RHEL / Microsoft Office Products, Browser Applications, and Adobe
  3. Configure servers, workstations IAW STIGs and ensure products are in use with the latest version and supported Ensure anti-virus software is up to date and have the latest virus definition files IAW CND Directives and STIGs
  4. Provide IT expertise for configuration changes affecting the systems/enclave, notify ISSM/ISSO of any configuration changes, and bring before CCB for oversight before implementation
  5. Provide software patching for all servers and workstations (RHEL, Microsoft, Java, Adobe, etc.) Review scan results from ACAS and Tanium scans that pertain to servers and workstations

Skills

Required

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Experience with configuration, system administration and operation of classified network servers and workstations, including Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and user workstations
  • Experience with server and workstation assessment and hardening using various information system security assessment/hardening tools - DISA STIGs, SCAP, ACAS, Retina, Nessus, Tanium etc.
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level 2 certification

Nice to have

  • Experience with creating Ansible playbooks to automate tasking
  • In-depth knowledge of NIST special publications, CNSS policies and instructions, and other requirements documents associated
  • Professional demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and ability to excel in a high-paced multi- tasked environment
  • Ability to provide Splunk Enterprise server administration and configuration
  • Ability to perform VMware / VSphere administration and configuration for ESXi servers and VCenter Appliances
  • Ability to act independently, prioritize tasks, and manage schedule
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written modes and be able to author and present subject specific presentations
  • Comfortable with public speaking
