What you'd actually do

  1. Provide a wide range of legal support and assistance to Visa’s global M&A and ventures teams, including exploring acquisition and investment opportunities and executing transactions.
  2. Working with the global head of M&A and investments for Legal, support transaction teams from the Legal and Compliance groups and coordinate with other functions.
  3. Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a range of contracts and legal issues relating to the matters above.
  4. Conduct and oversee due diligence.
  5. Coordinate and contribute to integration efforts for newly acquired businesses.

Skills

Required

  • Qualified lawyer in the U.K or U.S, ideally up to 4+ years PQE
  • Demonstrable experience as a lawyer at an international law firm, with a primary focus on M&A matters.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal instruction and oversight.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated industries or in payments or technology industries
  • In-house experience (secondment or permanent role) desirable.
