Sr. Business Manager - Global Payment Network

This role is for a Sr. Business Manager in Capital One's Global Payment Network division. The role involves strategic leadership, business ownership, product development, marketing, credit risk management, and execution of business strategies. It requires strong analytical and quantitative skills, people management, and project management experience. The focus is on driving growth, profitability, and competitive success within the payment network, leveraging analytics for insights into transactions, fraud prevention, merchant strategy, and partner performance. While analytics are used, the core craft is not AI/ML model building.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory behavior
  2. Have an ownership mindset, and potentially P&L accountability for a business segment. Strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon
  3. May manage and develop a team of analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
  4. Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level modeling/analytics
  5. Lead direct to consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through various channels. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go-to-market strategies

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 3 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
  • At least 3 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
  • At least 1 year of experience performing people management
  • At least 1 year of experience performing project management

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
