This role focuses on the monetization strategy, pricing, and packaging for Microsoft 365 products, including Microsoft 365 Copilot. The Business Planning Lead will advise on promotional offer strategies, cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders for strategic partnerships, and drive growth through business model innovation. Responsibilities include proposing pricing changes, leading cross-functional teams, conducting market research, evaluating partnerships, and influencing senior leadership with data-driven recommendations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Propose pricing changes and discounting guidance to improve the profitability of offers and address varying market needs.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product Marketing, Finance, Sales, and others, to drive monetization strategy, pricing decisions, and packaging constructs for products for the targeted audience.
  3. Partner with Research and Insights team to conduct market research and understand competitive dynamics, customer segmentation, and customer willingness to pay.
  4. Identify and build partnerships with key strategic stakeholders that help accelerate Microsoft Office product growth and customer value creation.
  5. Evaluate, track and analyze partnership proposals and performance metrics while identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize partnership outcomes.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Experience designing and implementing go-to-market strategies for growth and success.
  • Experience defining and evaluating partner specific margins.
  • Consistently delivering operational excellence with an ability to link strategy to execution.
  • Excellent communicator who can adapt your style and message across various stakeholders and levels, including marketing and engineering executives, customers, and partners.
  • Excellent problem-solver who can see the big picture and possess deep analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to make data-driven decisions.
  • Deep understanding of partnerships and how partner impact is tracked and reported across deals.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field
