We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Cat Technology Division as a Camera Senior Development Engineer at our Chillicothe, IL offices to develop and deploy new camera products at varying volumes with great visibility to our Caterpillar customers and leaders due to their importance in the system.

Role Definition: As Camera Senior Development Engineer you are responsible for specifying product that aligns with our corporate needs, then work with a third party provider to design, develop and qualify the camera product for Caterpillar autonomous, automated, safety and base machine systems.
What You Will Do: • Overseeing / executing compliance with development processes and regulations for camera components. • Investigating and troubleshooting all technical issues related to the camera components. • Managing and interfacing with electrical and electronic product suppliers for the development of the camera components. • Mentoring craftsmen, technicians and engineers in the development of camera components.
Degree Requirement: • Requires a degree in an accredited Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering curriculum.
What You Will Have: Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. **Electronics Engineering: **Knowledge of electronics engineering; ability to read schematics, simulate circuit designs and conduct necessary electrical tests at the PCB level. **Supplier Management: **Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
Top Candidates Will Have:
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to go along with degree from an accredited engineering program.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to plan, execute and communicate technical findings
- Ability to write code for test scripts and interaction with the camera for the purposes of qualification (Python, C, etc…)
- Previous experience in developing camera or light-based sensor technologies
- Previous experience with supplier interaction
- Previous experience in system integration of sensors like cameras.

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $169,060.00
