This role is for a Sr. Construction Manager at Microsoft, responsible for the delivery of datacenter capacity. The role involves overseeing project execution, managing vendors, driving risk mitigation, and ensuring safety, quality, sustainability, schedule, and budget requirements are met for large-scale construction projects. It requires leadership in cross-functional collaboration, technical oversight, and regulatory compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Monitors approved project budgets and oversees project controls (PERs, PSRs, change orders, pay apps), identifying risks and recommending adjustments to maintain financial discipline.
  2. Facilitates delivery of campus based construction projects through timely, data driven decision-making in partnership with local teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment to Safety, Security, Quality, Schedule, and Cost priorities.
  3. Partners with CO+I and key Microsoft stakeholders to drive adoption of updated processes, improving cost savings, cycle time, and operational efficiency across programs.
  4. Reviews engineering documentation, designs, and site plans; identifies gaps and risks; and provides recommendations that improve constructability while adhering to security core priorities and standards.
  5. Represents Microsoft as a safety advocate by establishing risk mitigation metrics, supporting national safety goals, ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA), conducting audits, and contributing to incident investigations.

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years related experience
