This role is for a Sr. Contracts Negotiator supporting Databricks' Healthcare and Life Sciences commercial business. The primary responsibilities include negotiating and closing complex commercial transactions with HLS customers, ensuring compliance with company policies, data privacy, information security, and applicable healthcare regulations. The role also involves partnering with Sales, Finance, Product, and Compliance teams, managing contracting requests, streamlining processes, and advising on commercial and operational risks. Familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks like HIPAA is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Negotiate, draft, and close commercial agreements (including MCSAs, Order Forms, and BAAs) with HLS customers, ensuring compliance with company policies, data privacy, information security, and applicable healthcare regulations.
  2. Support assigned Attorneys on complex or strategic transactions and assist in driving deal execution for key accounts.
  3. Partner with Sales, Finance, Product, and Compliance teams to facilitate revenue-generating transactions while managing legal and commercial risk.
  4. Triage and manage incoming contracting requests using Databricks’ contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools, ensuring timely review, accurate routing, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
  5. Streamline contracting processes and workflows, and contribute to improving templates and HLS-specific playbooks to support scale and consistency.
