This role is for a Sr. CPU Product Application Engineer at AMD, focusing on supporting EPYC Server Processors for customers in Cloud, Enterprise, HPC, and Sovereign AI segments. The engineer will manage technical interactions with key customers, assist in system bring-up and validation, lead debug of hardware/firmware issues, and work on manufacturing tests. The role requires strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills, with experience in server and data center system architecture, electrical validation, and Linux environments being preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Directly manage technical interaction with AMD’s key customers to enable deployment of AMD EPYC CPU in customer systems.
  2. Support customers in the bring-up and validation of AMD EPYC CPUs in their system, guide customers on use of AMD tools, qualification test methods, and analysis of test results.
  3. Lead the debug of customer-reported issues (hardware, firmware), working with a cross-functional team and driving the root cause investigation.
  4. Work with customers on the development of manufacturing/screen tests to ensure reliability at scale.
  5. Understand customer requirements and schedule, identify gaps in AMD offering and work with other stakeholders to close them.
