Seeking an experienced Sr Data Scientist to drive innovation in Amazon's Ads Foundational Model. This role involves developing and deploying ML models using computer vision, NLP, and deep learning to enhance ad effectiveness and customer experience, leveraging Amazon's data to create predictive models and actionable recommendations for advertising solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and drive the science strategy for Ads Foundational Model (Ads-FM), aligning it with the program's objectives and overall business goals.
  2. Identify high-impact opportunities within Ads-FM program and lead the ideation, planning, and execution of science initiatives to address them.
  3. Build and deploy machine learning models using computer vision, natural language processing, and deep learning to evaluate and enhance ad effectiveness.
  4. Develop algorithms that extract meaningful signals from image, video, and audio content to predict and improve customer engagement
  5. Leverage Amazon's extensive data repository to create predictive models that generate actionable recommendations for more compelling ad creative

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
  • 4+ years of data scientist experience
  • Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience
  • Experience managing data pipelines
  • Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
