This role is a Sr. Database Specialist Sales position within AWS, focusing on Financial Services (FSI). The core responsibility is to drive adoption and revenue growth for AWS database services, with a specific emphasis on their integration with Generative AI technologies. The role involves identifying customer opportunities, understanding their data management needs, and aligning them with AWS database solutions. It requires full-cycle sales engagement, working with senior customer executives to build strategies and leverage AWS database capabilities. The position also involves collaborating with internal teams (Solutions Architects, GTM, Partners) and staying current with database technology trends, especially in relation to Generative AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Implement and optimize strategies to drive revenue, adoption, and market penetration of AWS database services.
  2. Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS database services.
  3. Contribute to comprehensive account/territory plans to meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
  4. Handle complex initiatives while collaborating with Solutions Architects, GTM, and Partners to drive customer outcomes, especially in the context of Generative AI implementations.
  5. Engage with C-level executives and technical decision-makers to understand their business initiatives and craft solutions that leverage AWS database services.
