Sr. Director, Account Executive

Visa is seeking an experienced payments professional for a Sr. Director, Account Executive role in the National Segment. This role focuses on managing a key client, selling Visa's products and services, and developing strategic partnerships within the financial institution sector. Responsibilities include leading client relationships, developing account plans, analyzing performance, and expanding the use of Visa's value-added services.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the strategic partnership for your business line at the client. Be committed, resourceful, and proactive in identifying opportunities, problems, and solutions with a focus on driving results
  2. Lead client RFP responses, and other sales opportunities
  3. Independently lead on-site and virtual Client visits with various Client stakeholders. Responsible for preparing all presentation materials
  4. Develop and execute customized account plans to increase revenue, market share, and portfolio performance
  5. Deliver on AANR Targets

Skills

Required

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 10-12+years business experience with related sales and management experience in the payments industry
  • Deep expertise in payments products specifically Debit, Credit, Small Business, and Innovation
  • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing, and closing a complex, competitive sales effort.
  • Ability to implement strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with all levels including executive management.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analysis skills, and a proven track record of creating solutions that increase revenue.
  • Ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.
  • Proven ability negotiating business agreements and ability to enhance existing and develop new business partnerships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
