This role is for a Sr. Director of Consumer Experience Design at PayPal, focusing on leading teams that drive personalized commerce for discovery and engagement, and evolve the loyalty ecosystem. What you'd actually do

  1. Drive and articulate a bold experience strategy for both Shop and Earn that transforms PayPal into a habit-forming, rewarding daily destination
  2. Direct and scale multiple teams of designers, including design managers and senior ICs across Shop and Earn
  3. Oversee the execution and evolution of multi-surface experiences—from shopping feed modules and offer mechanics to reward progress and redemption.
  4. Play a lead role in building the Consumer Design leadership team, shaping priorities, rituals, and growth frameworks
  5. Represent PayPal Design externally, helping to attract industry-leading talent and share our journey through the design community

Required

  • 15+ years of experience in digital product design
  • 7+ years leading and scaling design teams
  • Experience developing and articulating vision and strategy
  • Experience overseeing user interface plans with direct impact on revenue, expense, budget, and growth
  • Experience negotiating with and influencing senior executives
  • Experience creating operational and strategic objectives
  • Experience providing guidance to cross-functional teams
