Sr. Director, Corporate Communications for DePuy Synthes, an Orthopedics company undergoing separation from Johnson & Johnson. What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and lead the global corporate communications strategy to support DePuy Synthes’ business objectives, brand positioning, and organizational transformation.
  2. Serve as a strategic communications advisor to executive leadership, providing counsel on messaging, stakeholder engagement, and reputational risk.
  3. Oversee internal communications to drive employee engagement, change adoption, and alignment with company priorities and values.
  4. Lead external communications, including corporate announcements, media relations, executive communications, and thought leadership.
  5. Manage crisis and issues communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and coordinated responses.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related disciplines, with significant leadership responsibility
  • Proven experience leading enterprise‑level communication strategies in a complex, regulated environment
  • Demonstrated success advising senior and executive leadership
  • Strong experience managing internal and external communications, including media relations and change communications
  • Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience supporting corporate transformations, mergers, separations, or large‑scale change initiatives
