Sr Director, Head of Crypto - Europe

Visa is seeking a Senior Director to lead their crypto strategy and execution across Europe. This role involves building and scaling the crypto business by engaging with partners, driving product adoption, leading go-to-market initiatives, and managing a team of specialists. The ideal candidate will have experience in payments, fintech, or crypto, with a deep understanding of the digital assets ecosystem and proven partnership and commercial execution skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and manage Visa’s relationships with key global and regional crypto partners (including exchanges, wallets, infrastructure providers, and fintechs) to drive new lines of business, innovation, and long‑term strategic growth across Europe.
  2. Drive the development, positioning, and adoption of Visa crypto solutions across European markets in close collaboration with global and regional product teams.
  3. Lead go‑to‑market (GTM) activities for crypto initiatives in Europe, including market prioritization, partner targeting, and commercialization strategies.
  4. Lead and develop a team of crypto sales and product specialists, setting clear priorities, objectives, and performance expectations.
  5. Serve as the center of excellence for crypto topics in Europe, providing guidance, best practices, and enablement to local market teams.

Skills

Required

  • Experience in payments, fintech, crypto, financial services, or technology‑driven partnerships.
  • Crypto/digital asset industry experience.
  • Deep understanding of the crypto and digital assets ecosystem, including exchanges, wallets, and crypto‑enabled payment use cases.
  • Proven experience building and managing strategic partnerships and driving commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including leading senior individual contributors and/or managers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in GTM execution and pipeline management.
  • Experience operating in a complex, matrixed, multinational organization.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
