Sr. Director, Operational Excellence for DePuy Synthes, a global leader in Orthopaedics. This role is responsible for driving enterprise-wide continuous improvement, value creation, portfolio prioritization, and performance excellence across operations. The position partners closely with business unit and functional leaders to embed a culture of performance, continuous improvement, and operational discipline. Key responsibilities include global functional ownership of business and strategic processes, defining and deploying the Operational Excellence approach, leading improvement initiatives, establishing governance and metrics, and building a high-performing Operational Excellence organization. Requires 12-14 years of progressive experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or operational excellence within a regulated or complex environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as global functional owner and sponsor for key business and strategic processes and frameworks, including but not limited to Long-Range Financial planning (LRFP), Long-Range Portfolio Planning (LRPP), Project & Portfolio Management (PPM), and Margin Expansion / Value Capture Plan
  2. Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to define and deliver a process maturity roadmap that connects these key processes by defining critical handoffs and integration points, building an E2E process with embedded mechanisms that ensure continual alignment to strategy and maximum return on investment
  3. Define and deploy the DePuy Synthes Operational Excellence approach and strategy, working closely with DS leaders and J&J counterparts to adopt a fit-for-purpose, business and customer-centric operational excellence framework
  4. Lead the Operational Excellence strategy, roadmap / blueprint, and deployment across supply chain & operations to improve performance outcomes
  5. Acting operations lead for cross-functional process improvement and value creation opportunities and initiatives

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • 12-14 years of progressive experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or operational excellence
