What you'd actually do

  1. Own the target setting, calibration and general development of the anti-lock braking and electronic stability control systems for R2
  2. Work with brake suppliers to integrate their software with the Rivian software environment
  3. Evaluate vehicle performance, to ensure vehicle performance is achieving Rivian’s objective and subjective standards.
  4. Provide feedback and direction to a team of calibration engineers.
  5. Use data to correlate subjective evaluations to make clear data driven decisions.

Skills

Required

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering)
  • 5+ years experience in Automotive Development
  • Experience taking data via CAN or XCP on vehicle, analyzing data, correlating with subjective evaluations and turning that into actionable changes in calibration or software.
  • Deep knowledge of control systems, vehicle dynamics and brake systems.
  • Strong first principles background
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and progress topics with little guidance or direction.
  • Track record of delivering on time results
  • Experience in C, C++, MATLAB, Python, Simulink.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% during Winter Test Seasons

  • Gitlab experience is a plus
