Sr. Electrical Engineer - Production Hardware (2nd Shift)

This role is for a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on production hardware testing and debugging of circuit card assemblies and electro-mechanical systems within the defense domain. It requires experience with digital, analog, and/or RF hardware, laboratory equipment, and collaboration with operations and supply chain. The position is onsite, requires a security clearance, and operates on a 2nd shift.

What you'd actually do

  1. Enhance electrical engineering skills working with digital, analog and/or RF hardware testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems.
  2. Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to achieve/document concurrence and resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
  3. Travel Requirements: less than 10% annually
  4. Shift Information: 2nd Shift (3pm - 12am)

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ prior relevant experience
  • Experience with RF, analog, digital, and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and / or digital signal processing
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers

Nice to have

  • Prior hands-on troubleshooting experience
  • Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations
  • Experience performing electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystem
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), Advanced Design System (ADS), Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, and Spectrum Analyzer
  • Familiarity with missile communication transceivers and data links, inertial measurement units (IMU) and Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver subsystems
  • Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices
  • Self-starter who’s capable of working independently as well as with a small technical team
  • Providing technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support
