Senior Employee Relations Manager role focused on conducting workplace investigations, providing recommendations, partnering with Legal, and contributing to policy development and risk reduction within an e-commerce company.

What you'd actually do

  1. Thoroughly and expeditiously conduct fair, consistent, and un-biased investigations related to complex Team Member concerns
  2. Provide recommendations for the appropriate course of action based on the outcome of investigations
  3. Partner with Legal team on cases and training HR Team Members in conducting thorough investigations in compliance with Chewy policies Use excellent interviewing, interpersonal, and documentation techniques and use the designated online case management tool (i.e., Navex) for reporting, documenting, and tracking investigations
  4. Provide critical input to the formation, consistent application, and revision of policies across the company based upon your investigation findings and recommendations
  5. Support the evolution and improvement of the ER framework (process, tools, guides, etc.) for managing internal allegations and claims

Skills

Required

  • Degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, JD, or another related field
  • 7+ years of progressive employee relations experience
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment law
  • Experience with HR information systems (i.e., Workday) and investigation case management software (i.e., Navex)
  • Excellent interviewing, interpersonal, and documentation techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with HR and non-HR partners
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with international e-commerce, distribution or fulfillment centers, veterinary, or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience creating and conducting training related to ER investigations and compliance
  • Experience with Union and Non-Union organizations a plus
  • Ability to work into the evenings and weekends as business requires
