What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a cross-platform team responsible for content acquisition, media ingestion and media signal platform.
  2. Set the team’s technical direction and drive execution on quality, performance, and reliability
  3. Partner closely with Content, Shopping catalog and GenAI teams to improve Pinterest content ecosystem.
  4. Guide the team through platform and architectural decisions, balancing product needs, technical investments, and long-term maintainability.
  5. Build and grow a high-performing team through hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.

Skills

Required

  • 9+ years of software engineering experience, including distributed system and big data platform
  • 5+ years of engineering management experience leading strong client or platform engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of crawling system, media ingestion, understanding and management, big data process.
  • Familiarity with search and recommendation system, GenAI compliance.
  • Ability to lead work across platforms and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Clear communication skills, strong technical judgment, and a people-focused leadership approach.

Nice to have

  • Experience using AI coding assistants and agentic tools as a force-multiplier, and equally comfortable solving problems from first principles when those tools aren’t available.
