Sr. Experiential & Design Project Manager, Creative Studio

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Experiential & Design Project Manager to manage the execution of physical brand experiences, including retail environments, service centers, and event activations. The role involves end-to-end ownership of the creative journey from briefing to installation, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project plans and budgets, and mitigating risks. Requires 6+ years of creative project management experience, ideally in design, architecture, or experiential events, with strong proficiency in project management tools and communication skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage the complete creative process for multiple concurrent environmental projects, specifically focusing on the integration of 2D/3D design, digital content, and physical brand elements.
  2. Serve as the primary liaison between the Creative Studio and key partner teams, including Facilities/Real Estate, Retail Operations, Experiential Marketing, Vehicle Design, Procurement/Finance, and Legal.
  3. Develop and manage detailed project plans and budgets, navigating the complexities of physical build-outs and lead times for custom fixtures and brand assets.
  4. Coordinate the creation of site-specific content ensuring it aligns with construction timelines and event dates.
  5. Proactively identify and resolve potential roadblocks, such as site-specific technical constraints, vendor delays, or shifting regulatory requirements, to keep projects on schedule.

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in creative project management
  • background in interior design, architecture, graphic design, or experiential events
  • Expert proficiency with project management tools for complex workflow management and reporting
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep understanding of the full creative lifecycle
  • Highly proactive, self-motivated, and capable of driving multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Nice to have

  • Basic familiarity with viewing and editing design files (e.g., in Figma or Creative Cloud)
  • Basic comprehension of how finalized creative assets are integrated by web development teams
