Sr. Financial Analyst, Aws Sales and Services, Ec2 Pricing Finance

This role is a Sr. Financial Analyst supporting AWS EC2 pricing strategy, deal evaluation, revenue planning, and P&L support. It will specifically drive pricing decisions for large-scale AI workloads and support complex customer deals involving both Core and Generative AI. The role requires strong analytical, business partnership, and communication skills, with experience in financial modeling, SQL, and working with large datasets.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with Amazon EC2 product and sales management leadership team to develop a strategic roadmap for pricing and revenue growth.
  2. Lead pricing for new services and ongoing pricing decisions for existing services.
  3. Develop plans and operational strategies for new initiatives to drive service adoption.
  4. Support new service/region launches; understand cost models and drive pricing decisions.
  5. Support the business P&Ls and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
  • Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

Nice to have

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
