Sr Financial Analyst, Global Supply Chain & Logistics

This role is for a Sr. Financial Analyst focused on Global Supply Chain & Logistics at Target. The analyst will oversee the financial performance of the fulfillment center expense, providing financial support, performance recaps, and owning financial routines like long-range planning, budgeting, and forecasting. They will also partner with leadership to influence strategic direction, build financial tools and models, and develop ad hoc analytics. The role requires strong modeling and data manipulation skills, with SQL knowledge preferred, and the ability to use analysis to influence decisions.

What you'd actually do

  1. provide financial support to the VP and Senior Director of the fulfillment center network and all Site Directors within the network.
  2. provide actual performance recaps to Finance and business leaders on a weekly and monthly basis regarding performance of fulfillment centers
  3. own financial routines for fulfillment center expense, inclusive of long-range planning, annual budgeting, and in-year forecasting
  4. partner closely with the fulfillment center leadership and across FP&A to influence the strategic direction of core fulfillment center strategies
  5. build financial tools and models for our field partners that help them advance the business and size productivity improvement impacts
  6. develop ad hoc analytics to explain key business drivers and influence optimal outcomes

Skills

Required

  • 4-year college degree with equivalent experience (3-6 years) in Finance and/or Operations
  • Strong technical skill set around modeling and data accessibility/manipulation
  • Uses analysis to influence with facts and data
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Comfortable developing multiple scenarios to communicate a risk adjusted range of expected financial performance
  • Willingness to make financial recommendations with a progress over perfection mindset
  • Ability to work with all levels of management with high level of autonomy, motivation, and self-direction
  • Willingness to establish and nurture connections across the enterprise to build a network of partners and resources
  • Natural curiosity to ask questions and look within the data for outliers and connections to improve upon existing tools and processes
