Sr. Fullstack Engineer, Identity Platform

Zapier is seeking a Sr. Fullstack Engineer for their Identity Platform team. This role will focus on designing and scaling systems for access control, permissions, policies, OAuth/JWT infrastructure, and service-to-service authentication. The engineer will shape how access is modeled and enforced across Zapier, supporting core product strategy and enabling secure automation and enterprise-grade governance. The role requires experience with authentication and authorization systems, platform thinking, and full-stack capabilities. The candidate will use AI agents as a core part of their workflow.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be a thought leader in the Identity domain, helping to set the vision for our platforms to enable Zapier’s engineering teams to move fast and securely
  2. Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define and implement Zapier’s Governance strategy. Evolve Zapier’s IAM platform to provide consistent, reliable controls for our largest Enterprise customers
  3. Design and evolve authorization systems that power permissions, roles, policies, and access control across Zapier’s ecosystem
  4. Build and scale OAuth and token infrastructure, including access tokens, refresh tokens, and scopes. Lead cross-team efforts to unify and simplify auth patterns across Zapier
  5. Develop and maintain JWT infrastructure (signing, validation, key rotation) used across APIs and services
