This role is a business-focused technologist who partners with customers and internal AWS teams to develop strategies and roadmaps for leveraging generative AI and machine learning to enhance business outcomes. The role involves understanding customer needs, identifying opportunities, and driving adoption of AWS AI services, with a strong emphasis on connecting business value to scalable solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Bring alignment between customer’s technologists and business leads; help them to explore the art of the possible with generative AI and machine learning, and to develop a roadmap to deliver business value in the most effective way
  2. Discuss complex industry-specific business concepts with executives, line managers and technologists
  3. Engage with various AWS teams, including applied scientists, solutions architects, business development, marketing, industry specialists, partners and regional organizations
  4. Drive large, complex sales opportunities from ideation, through vision building and scoping, all the way to closure and into delivery
  5. Conduct workshop sessions to identify opportunities with our customers to scope how they could deliver business value through the use of generative AI or machine learning

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
  • 6+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
  • Experience working in or supporting sales
  • Experience in management consulting, strategy, technology, venture capital, or a related industry
  • Experience launching technical programs, projects, or related work that include the following: big data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning

Nice to have

  • Experience presenting complex ideas in writing in the form of authoring white papers, proposals, or other formal strategy documents
  • Master's degree or above in Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or Marketing
  • Participated in the product management and marketing lifecycles (directly or indirectly)
  • Experience with presenting to audiences of 5 to 50 people of various levels (developers to executives) and backgrounds (business, technical, operations)
  • Passion for educating, training, designing, and building solutions for a diverse and challenging set of customers ranging from midsized organizations to Fortune 100 customers
