The Sr. HR Manager, Suzhou, plays a key role in supporting business operations, strategy execution, and organizational effectiveness in the Suzhou site for DePuy Synthes, a MedTech company. The role will coach business leaders, drive Talent Management, Organizational Design, and Change Management, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in a highly regulated MedTech environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide senior leadership for Suzhou‑related operations and initiatives, ensuring alignment with regional and global DePuy Synthes strategies.
  2. Drive operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance metrics.
  3. Partner with cross‑functional teams including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and HR to enable effective execution.
  4. Lead and develop managers and teams, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  5. Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global regulatory and quality requirements applicable to MedTech operations in China.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources or a related field
  • 8–10 years of HR experience, ideally also supporting operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or site leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading managers and cross‑functional teams in complex environments
  • Strong understanding of operational excellence, performance management, and continuous improvement principles
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and change‑management skills
  • Fluent English required

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as MedTech, Pharma, or Healthcare
  • Experience supporting China‑based manufacturing or operations, including familiarity with local regulatory and business environments
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working within regional or global operating models
  • Mandarin Chinese proficiency
