This role is for a Sr HRBP in Amazon's EU Business Finance organization, focusing on HR strategy, organizational effectiveness, change management, and leadership coaching. While the role encourages the adoption and strategic application of AI tools within HR to enhance effectiveness, improve decision-making, and streamline processes, the core responsibilities do not involve building or shipping AI/ML models or systems. The primary focus is on HR strategy and people initiatives, with AI tools being a means to enhance these HR functions.

What you'd actually do

  1. partner with the various senior leaders (VPs and Directors) along with their respective leadership teams to develop and execute the HR strategies and planning activities that foster organizational and people effectiveness
  2. serve as a liaison between the business and the central corporate teams to assess the human resources needs in areas such as performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development and leadership development
  3. diagnose problems as well as identify and drive appropriate solutions
  4. leverage data to establish HR priorities and operating mechanisms to drive change
  5. interface effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience working with large global teams
  • Extensive experience in an HR Business Partner role, preferably in a high-tech environment
  • Experience working with global teams, driving organizational change initiatives, and developing talent management plans for a global organization
  • Experience in Project/Program management
  • Ability to relate to, influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization
  • Proven ability to diagnose problems using strategic thinking skills , data analysis as well as identify and drive appropriate solutions
  • Travel up to 5-20% of the time regularly throughout the assigned region and internationally

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience supporting senior management in large, corporate environments or equivalent
  • Experience in organizational leadership and development or talent management, with experience in a senior leadership role
  • Experience coaching and mentoring at the management level
  • Experience using data and metrics to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change
  • Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience working cross-functionally and across regions
  • HR lead experience for multiple countries in the EU and knowledge of regulatory practices
  • Experience in adoption and strategic application of AI tools and resources within the HR function — including generative AI for workforce analytics, talent planning, and HR communications
  • Hands-on leader who is continually and deeply engaged in the business to understand the current and future talent needs and to be able to provide insight\input on the health of the organization
