Sr Human Resources Administrator - Nights

This role is for a Sr. Human Resources Administrator at Chewy, responsible for providing administrative support to the HR function, including employee onboarding, timekeeping, payroll adjustments, maintaining employee files, and policy documentation. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 1-3 years of HR experience, proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conducts new employee orientations on-site to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans, policies, and procedures.
  2. Monitors “call-off line” and processes other time off requests to ensure accuracy of absenteeism tracking.
  3. Processes punch and payroll adjustments to ensure accuracy of time sheets.
  4. Maintains employee files, initiates drug and background screenings, and conducts routine file audits.
  5. Writes, revises, edits and proofreads company policies & procedures and related documents as needed.

Required

  • Computer skills
  • Ability to learn HRIS system (Paychex or Kronos)
  • Proficient in MS Office products, especially Excel
  • Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills
  • Good punctuation, spelling, grammar and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree, major in business or human resources preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience administering general human resources duties preferred
