This role is for a Sr. Industry Manager in the Travel vertical at Pinterest, focusing on sales strategy, execution, and team leadership. While the company emphasizes AI as a partner and encourages AI tool exploration for productivity, the core responsibilities are in sales, strategy, and team management, not in building or directly shipping AI/ML models or systems. The role involves working cross-functionally with product and engineering but does not require direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead our sales strategy and execution for the Travel vertical. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop a sales strategy that enables Pinterest to win the market by meeting partner marketing objectives, scaling partner media investment, and creating meaningful and sustainable revenue growth.
  2. Build and develop strong relationships with C-level executives across advertisers and agencies.
  3. Deliver, Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends to senior leadership as they relate to your team's client partnerships.
  4. Shape the future of our Sales organization by building, training and motivating a high performing sales team with a strong inclusive culture to support emerging and established clients.
  5. Work cross-functionally to build cohesive partnerships with peers and internal stakeholders, including product, sales operations, and marketing.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years experience in Advertising, Digital, and/or Media Sales and established industry relationships and experience forging strong relationships with marketing leaders & C-suite at the client and agency.
  • 3+ years management experience and proven track record of managing a world-class sales team, including extensive forecasting experience and achieving or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Deep understanding and established network with travel advertisers in the US.
  • Knowledge of brand and performance advertising (e.g.Search/Shopping/Display/Social advertising) and measurement solutions.
  • Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals.
  • Strong understanding of performance, data, and measurement landscapes, with demonstrated experience using data and trends to develop winning strategies.
  • Ability to interface with cross functional teams including product and engineering to synthesize customer needs and feedback.
  • An individual that thrives in a fast-moving environment and is independently capable of seeking information, corralling resources, and delivering results.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Business administration or sales management, or equivalent experience.
