Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

This role is for a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer focused on server hardware management, lifecycle management, and operating systems (Linux and Windows) within a data center environment. The engineer will be responsible for deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, storage, and operating systems, with a focus on government programs and ensuring system stability, performance, and security. Experience with automation scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) and tools like iLO and BMC is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Overseeing the full server lifecycle, from landing and provisioning to maintenance, in a data center environment.
  2. Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues on servers, storage, and operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  3. Using tools such as iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) and BMC (Baseboard Management Controller).
  4. Ensure the installation and maintenance of firmware and drivers for server hardware to optimize performance and compatibility across systems.
  5. Managing server builds, including provisioning via PXE boot and other automated deployment technologies.
