Sr. Infrastructure Engineer - Windows OS role focused on deploying, configuring, and managing Windows Server OS and layered applications for Intel's Foundry Automation group, with an emphasis on automation and security within a government programs context.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage the full lifecycle of Windows Server OS environments, including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and security hardening.
  2. Deploy, configure, and maintain layered applications, including middleware (e.g., .NET, IIS), enterprise software (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server), and security applications (e.g., antivirus, firewalls).
  3. Implement automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to streamline repetitive tasks, maintain layered applications, and improve system reliability.
  4. Apply security best practices for both OS and layered applications, including patch management, vulnerability scanning, and access control.
  5. Troubleshoot complex OS and application-level issues, working cross-functionally to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
