This role is for a Sr. IT Systems Engineer responsible for corporate cloud infrastructure and identity management systems, including automation with serverless technologies and integrations. The role focuses on building and optimizing automations, enhancing security, and streamlining integrations using platforms like AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, and Okta Workflows. While the company uses AI, this specific role is not directly building or researching AI/ML models but rather supporting the IT infrastructure that enables it.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development and maintenance of sophisticated identity management, endpoint management, and security infrastructure, ensuring compliance and optimal user experiences.
  2. Design, build, and optimize complex automations leveraging advanced scripting and serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions.
  3. Architect, implement, and support integrations using platforms like Workato, Okta Workflows, or equivalent tools to automate critical business processes.
  4. Develop and maintain system and security policies aligned with best practices and industry standards.
  5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional technical teams, including Security, Engineering, Business Systems, and People Operations, to design scalable and secure solutions.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years overall experience in the IT field
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in IT systems engineering, infrastructure, IT security, or related technical roles
  • Advanced technical expertise in identity management, SCIM integrations, and comprehensive user lifecycle management with significant experience in Okta or similar platforms
  • Strong proficiency with scripting and programming, especially using Python for automations in AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions
  • Extensive experience developing integrations and automations with tools such as Workato or other enterprise-grade automation platforms
  • Solid familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure), including networking fundamentals, security best practices, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies
  • Expertise in configuration management and policy automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated capability in independently managing complex projects
  • Highly collaborative
