The Sr Manager, Strategic Programs plays an integral role in ensuring that projects align with the organization's strategic objectives, maintain high standards of quality, and deliver value within the CAR-T platform. This role focuses on managing processes and teams responsible for implementing project management standard methodologies, processes, and policies towards site goals and objectives, working in a matrix environment with internal teams and external partners.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure effective communication of project and program planning information across the among different departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach through a portfolio management database for project visibility.
  2. Track and communicate site portfolio performance and productivity through KPIs, operational and financial metrics)
  3. Navigating discussions with team members at all levels to reach agreements that align with project goals in time sensitive situations
  4. Commitment to improvement with a growth mindset and a culture of continuous improvement
  5. Champion a culture aligning decisions with patient, customer, and employee needs based on Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical, medal device or biotechnology industry
  • Proficient in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and other Project Management methodologies
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Planisware, Smartsheets)
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced growth situation, with ability to adapt to changing environment required
  • Capable of dealing with ambiguity, working and leading in a matrix environment
  • Strong people leadership including leading direct reports is required
  • Project Management (PMP) or equivalent (FPX) Certification is required

Nice to have

  • Experience in cGMP manufacturing, operations management, quality management or related area
  • Proficiency in communicating and influencing effectively at all levels, while understanding priorities, and building respect and trust, along with the willingness to provide the best decisions in time-sensitive situations
  • Supply Chain (APICS / IBF), Change Management (CCMP), and/or Green Belt Lean or Six Sigma Certifications are desirable
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting techniques to predict project funding needs and skills in variance analysis to identify deviations from budgeted costs
