Sr. Manager, Government Sales Executive

Visa is seeking a Senior Manager for its Government Sales Executive team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This role focuses on driving impactful, innovative, and sustainable solutions for public sector clients, modernizing payments, enhancing citizen services, and unlocking economic growth. The individual will identify commercial opportunities, co-develop payment solutions with government agencies, engage with enablers, and collaborate with internal teams to customize and deploy solutions. The role requires strong public sector insight, commercial acumen, and relationship skills to build and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders and position Visa as a leader in the payments industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify and execute commercial opportunities in government led projects that focus on government payment flows, data and other government growth priorities to develop new business flows for Visa
  2. Partner with federal and state government agencies to identify key pain points and co-develop high-impact payment solutions aligned with public policy and service delivery goals.
  3. Engage and partner with issuers, acquirers, program managers, processors, fintechs and other enablers who will strengthen our government solution proposition. This includes working closely with Account Executives of public sector focus clients.
  4. Collaborate with Visa’s product, strategy, and partnerships teams to customise and deploy scalable solutions for the public sector.
  5. Support RFP response and commercial deals in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Skills

Required

  • Experience in government/ state-owned enterprise/ public sector sales
  • expertise in payments/ financial services industry
  • Active network in the public sector across Sri Lanka
  • Robust understanding of how public sector sales and public agencies operate
  • expertise in navigating government agencies and procedures
  • Strong collaboration and relationship skills
  • Strong business development and consultative sales experience
