This role is for a Sr. Manager of Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) for the Surgery portfolio at Johnson & Johnson MedTech. The purpose is to lead HEMA activities, develop market access strategies, and create robust health economic arguments and tools to support funding and procedural adoption. The role requires developing and executing market access strategies, supporting HEMA tool development, building stakeholder relationships, and providing input into evidence generation. Qualifications include an advanced degree in a relevant field, understanding of HTA and health economics, experience in the medical device/healthcare/pharma industry, and leadership experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute market access strategies for new technologies and existing portfolios
  2. Support the development of HEMA tools, translating complex messages into simple statements that can easily be articulated by the sales force
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, healthcare professionals, and governmental bodies
  4. Work closely with the marketing, clinical, and sales teams to ensure the alignment of market access activities with overall business objectives
  5. Provide input into the evidence generation strategy for new product development and identify local opportunities for health economic evidence generation

Skills

Required

  • Advanced degree in health economics, health policy, public health, economics, healthcare management or other relevant discipline
  • Solid understanding of the principles of HTA and health economics
  • Strong track record of successful engagement with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
  • >5 years experience in the medical devices, health care or pharmaceutical industry
  • Good understanding of the processes within healthcare systems and payer bodies
  • Appetite to build on knowledge and experience of market access and health economics
  • Leadership experience demonstrated with commercial teams
  • Strong project management orientation with the ability to priorities and manage complex list of projects to completion
  • Ability to synthesise clinical and health economic evidence into messages easily understood by non-clinical stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional matrix to successfully deliver objectives on time and within budget
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment
  • Strong internal and external communicator
  • Excellent behavioral skills and communication style
