Sr. Manager, Material Program Manager for RTX's Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit. This role focuses on managing material program strategy, leading supply chain proposal activities, and supporting program execution within a matrixed organization in the aerospace and defense industry. Requires experience in MRP, project management, and TINA-compliant proposal development, with a strong emphasis on supply chain processes and supplier management. A U.S. government security clearance is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategies, including RFPs, Risk and Opportunities, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution.
  2. Support, reviews and assess request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
  3. Implement key performance indicators internally and with our supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and ensure adherence to the plan.
  4. Work closely with Operations, Planning and Finance functions to optimize planning and supply chain cycle to meet development requirements.
  5. Support and engage with various Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to resolve supply chain issues and serve as supply chain SME for other functional areas.

Skills

Required

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Industry experience in Aerospace and Defense.
  • Experience with supply chain, vendor management, Risk Assessment/Mitigation and/or performance management.
  • ERP work experience, i.e., SAP.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice to have

  • Prior experience as a Materials Program Manager, proposal experience applying FAR standards.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and multi-site leadership.
  • Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Engineering Related Subject.
  • Project management experience is a strong plus.
  • Existing Secret clearance.
