This role leads the strategy and commercial performance of PayPal’s consumer loyalty program in Germany, focusing on market-level growth outcomes and cross-functional execution across commercial, partnerships, product, marketing, and financial services teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and define the portfolio strategy for an identified country, supporting the execution of local product priorities, and analyzing and interpreting product performance.
  2. Implement hands-on execution coordination of local and global cross functional initiatives.
  3. Manage process escalations to remove obstacles for the strategy execution while proposing and supporting change implementation to strategy
  4. Collaborate and define priorities based on global commercial product strategy
  5. Research new opportunities and establish and negotiate new partnerships

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading or scaling a consumer loyalty, rewards, or membership program.
  • Background in fintech, payments, e-commerce, or consumer financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive commercial outcomes (user growth, engagement, transaction volume) in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical fluency — comfortable interpreting incrementality frameworks, cohort analysis, and A/B testing to inform program decisions.
  • Effective communicator who can translate strategy into clear stakeholder narratives across senior leadership, country teams, and internal partners

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the Germany payments or retail loyalty landscape (e.g., card-linked offers, coalition programs, cashback platforms).
  • Experience managing local market execution within a global program or platform organization.
