This role defines and drives the strategy, execution, and product roadmap for seller engagement and productivity on Amazon JP Marketplace. It focuses on leveraging AI, automation, and science models to grow sellers' businesses through personalized engagement strategies across AI self-service and mass marketing channels. The role involves building and launching AI-powered products, working with cross-functional teams, and demonstrating thought leadership in AI innovation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop the strategy and initiatives to maximize Seller engagement across AI self-service and mass marketing channels, and present to senior executives.
  2. Develop the strategy and products for deciding which Sellers to engage, with which growth opportunities, through which channels, and in what order.
  3. Drive seller engagement outcomes by partnering with Marketing teams and channel owners—defining engagement strategies, and ensuring alignment on priorities—while leveraging tools and platforms to measure and optimize results.
  4. Build product roadmaps for AI products and Science models that automate, prioritize, and personalize Seller engagement, and drive those products from concept through delivery.
  5. Work with Tech, Science, and Marketing teams to build and deploy AI-powered solutions, automation, and Science models that drive Seller growth.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of overall experience in Product Management, Technology, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience building and launching AI-powered products or leveraging Science models at scale
  • Strong understanding of latest AI concepts, including large language models and Generative AI, and their practical applications to scaled engagement and personalization
  • Experience building and launching products that operate at scale across large customer/user bases
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills across Science, Tech, Product, Marketing, Business, and Operations teams
  • Strong ability to influence global teams and product/dev teams across a large organization
  • 5+ years of people management experience, including management of large, layered, multi-functional teams
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international business environment
  • Experience providing strategic updates/proposals to senior executives (both verbal and written)
  • Business level English (both verbal and written) required

Nice to have

  • Experience with marketing technology, CRM, or scaled engagement platforms is a plus
  • PhD or MS in Computer Science, AI/ML, Business, or related field from a top tier program
  • Experience with scaled marketing, personalization systems, or recommendation engines
  • Japanese language skill preferred
