Visa is seeking a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering for their Pismo team in Bengaluru, India. This role involves designing, building, and testing software products for a global customer base, focusing on payment technology, transaction platforms, and real-time payments. The candidate will lead a multi-functional development team, contribute to product quality, and ensure scalability, security, and reusability of systems. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, developing architectural solutions, providing domain expertise, and leading end-to-end feature development. The role requires a hands-on leader proficient in best practices, Pismo standards, monitoring, and AWS services, with expertise in general development languages like Java, C#, or C++.

What you'd actually do

  1. Works with product owners to gather and refine requirements for one product, adding and taking into account existing tools and solutions across departments.
  2. Develops and designs moderately advanced architect solutions that are robust and scalable, considering integrations with other solutions across the internal technical ecosystem.
  3. Provides domain expertise on the development of user documentation of solutions and implements standard processes in user documentation.
  4. Plays a significant role in the development and delivery of new features within a product from end-to-end.

Required

  • Proficient in the best practices to follow, give suggestions and help the team to find the best solution they should use for a given problem.
  • Proficient in Pismo standards in order to follow patterns that are validated and used by other teams and can be applied to their scenarios.
  • Proficient in the products of the team, helping the team with discussion of new demands, features, and problems that need to be developed and how to prioritize the demands on the Team.
  • Ability to identify impacts on other team products and anticipate problems or interactions between teams that are directly related to each other
  • Knowledge and promotion of security practices such as OWASP
  • Proficient in monitoring, being able to help the team to identify the scenarios that need to be monitored, integrations with dependencies, and other teams. Ability to create and monitor alerts to help the team to prevent issues.
  • Proficient in the main AWS services Pismo uses, knowing their best practices and how to use them for best performance. Ability to help the team to decide the best solution and how to solve problems while integrating with AWS services.
  • Expertise in one or more general development languages (e.g., Java, C#, C++)
  • Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile/Scrum teams
