This role is for a Senior Marketing and Media Services Manager for Disney Cruise Line, responsible for leading the planning and execution of complex marketing and media groups and events. The role involves end-to-end event logistics, client management, cross-functional partnerships, and vendor management, with a focus on delivering a high-touch, brand-aligned guest experience. It requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with experience in event planning, hospitality, or marketing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner cross‑functionally with Marketing, CCDI, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Media Network Synergy, Promotions, Marketing Strategy, Special Events, Talent Acquisition, Corporate Alliances, and other stakeholders to support complex marketing and media initiatives.
  2. Plan and manage end‑to‑end logistics, including hotel contracts, stateroom blocks, food and beverage, onboard setups and spaces, air travel, ground transportation, and production requirements.
  3. Procure, manage, and maintain third‑party vendor and operator relationships, ensuring delivery aligns with Disney’s class of service and brand standards.
  4. Support marketing and media service operations across highly complex, global programs, maintaining deep knowledge of products and services across Disney Signature Experiences (DSE).
  5. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years of experience in event planning, event services, hospitality management, marketing, or catering operations, ideally in a media or entertainment environment, with demonstrated leadership across projects, events, vendors, and/or teams.
  • Proven experience planning and orchestrating complex, high‑value media groups and events, including management of rooms, venues, and operational spaces.
  • Strong understanding of business objectives across different markets and the ability to align event execution to client and organizational goals.
  • Ability to proactively anticipate risks, challenges, and dependencies related to group and event operations and elevate concerns with proposed solutions.
  • Demonstrated capability to oversee highly complex programs with minimal day‑to‑day oversight, exercising sound judgment and accountability.
  • Creative problem‑solving skills with a focus on enhancing Guest experiences while balancing operational realities.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or providing guidance to team members, including direct reports or peers.
  • Proven ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate across cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in basic computer and technology functions required to operate in a Windows environment and adapt to new tools and systems.
  • Demonstrated strong Guest service mindset, with attention to detail, organization, and service excellence.
  • Flexibility to support operational needs, including weekends, variable shifts, and holidays.
  • Possess a valid Passport.

Nice to have

  • 1+ year of direct leadership experience leading hourly Cast in event planning, event services, hospitality, or catering operations environments.
  • Familiarity with Disney Signature Experiences (DSE) products, services, or procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events or programs simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience working independently to prioritize workload and drive execution in fast‑paced environments.
