This role serves as a scientific and clinical expert in a specific therapeutic area, facilitating scientific exchange between Lilly and healthcare professionals. The MSL provides in-depth, cutting-edge scientific and clinical information, synthesizes research, and communicates insights to inform Lilly's strategic direction. Responsibilities include supporting researchers and practitioners, acting as a primary interface between Lilly Medical and external experts, partnering with clinical development for studies, managing territory, and synthesizing actionable insights.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide leading researchers and practitioners with the scientific and clinical knowledge that is most meaningfully and precisely addresses their needs
  2. Establish themself as a reliable, trusted, resource of unbiased, accurate, up-to-date, medical and scientific information
  3. Act as one of the primary interfaces between Lilly Medical and SEs/CEs to deliver a positive experience and utilize MSL capabilities to support HCPs in sharing evidence and addressing clinical care gaps for improved patient outcomes
  4. Partner with clinical development in support of studies and investigators to accelerate the pipeline and evidence generation by delivering disease state and other scientific information aligned with site identification, selection, and recruitment
  5. Effectively synthesize and communicate actionable customer/clinical insights to internal Lilly Medical and cross functional teams

Skills

Required

  • Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD)
  • Minimum of two years of relevant clinical or TA experience
  • Learning agility to comprehend and effectively communicate large amounts of complex scientific content
  • Demonstrated experience in effective strategic and critical thinking
  • Advanced presentation and computer skills

Nice to have

  • Masters or Bachelors level degree in health sciences (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) with 5+ years clinical, research, or industry experience in relevant therapeutic area
