This role is for a Sr. Network Engineer at AMD, responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting the global network infrastructure. The role involves configuring network hardware and software, ensuring network security, deploying new networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN), and performing upgrades and failover testing. The position requires experience in routing, switching, firewall technologies, data center networks, and network security protocols.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement computer and information networks.
  2. Drive technical problem resolution of reported incidents and handle escalations.
  3. Configure, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot the global network infrastructure that supports in-house network access and safeguard company resources via developing and testing security protocols.
  4. Deploy new networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) and assist Global AMD Network Engineering/Architecture team with improving/evolving the designs to meet new requirements.
  5. Work with Global AMD Network Engineering/Architecture Team and other IT teams to complete approved project activities.
