Sr Operations Manager - Commercial Messaging

This role focuses on the operational excellence of T-Mobile's commercial messaging products and platforms, including SMS, MMS, and RCS. The Senior Product Operations Manager will manage platform performance, reliability, and compliance, working closely with aggregator partners and internal teams. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional initiatives, optimizing processes, monitoring KPIs, supporting product launches, and managing incidents. The role requires strong technical expertise in messaging protocols and APIs, operational rigor, and experience in partner ecosystems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as the central operations owner for commercial messaging APIs, ensuring availability, scalability, and adoption across internal and external partners.
  2. Monitor platform KPIs, diagnose performance issues, and partner with engineering for resolution and continuous improvement.
  3. Serve as the operational liaison between product and aggregator partners; support onboarding, critical issues, SLAs, and feedback loops.
  4. Lead cross-functional incident triage and resolution for messaging-related disruptions.
  5. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and tooling that increase visibility and decision-making around platform usage, issues, and trends.
