This role is for a Sr. Partner Account Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focused on the Public Sector. The primary responsibility is to help Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners succeed by building co-sell pipelines, accelerating deal velocity, and driving growth. The role involves developing Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies, engaging with AWS internal teams (Solution Architects, Sales, Marketing), and driving platform adoption and co-sell opportunities. The ideal candidate has a strong business and technical background, experience in partner channel management or direct sales to public sector partners, and can build compelling value propositions. While AI is mentioned as a relevant technical area, it is not the core focus of the role, which is primarily sales and business development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support ISV Partners to leverage AWS to successfully deliver and grow their solutions across their desired markets;
  2. Contribute to the strategic partner plan to execute for target markets in line with both AWS and partner strategic direction;
  3. Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. account teams, partner teams, specialist teams, Solution Architects, and technical support);

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
  • Experience working with global teams and diverse partners

Nice to have

  • Experience as a partner account manager, business development manager, or sales account manager with a verified track record of success.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of ambiguity in a matrixed organization.
  • Success with engaging with the CRO of partner and ISV organizations.
  • AI (Generative & Agentic), data and analytics, core distributed computing concepts, fundamentals of cloud computing and migration, big data concepts, storage systems.
